Missing fonts and some graphics issues

I managed to install and run through my steam install.
It seems that the font is missing (does anyone know what it is, and how to add it?)
And there are weird graphics anomalies that I don't know where to start (sprites appearing randomly - can't actually catch a screenshot of it, happens when driving fast)
