I have already played 54 hours without a crash, I had so much fun.
But now GTA 5 crashes every 10 minutes.
I have also not changed anything in my setup, it was just like that overnight.

Same for me now. Was fine until all of a sudden this started happening. The pattern is the same every time, it runs fine for a few minutes then it starts getting laggy. Then it just freezes and/or crashes.

No idea what changed. Seems like nothing changed. I've tried restarting everything, verifying game integrity, etc. Nothing works.

I have literally the same problem, in online mode the game goes fine (over 75 hours of game in the past with 4K res and 45fps average on M1 Max) until it crashes after 10 minutes of play since 3-4 days ago. It starts dropping FPS from 45 to 15 for 30 seconds, and after that it completely freezes. I don’t know what update i made recently is causing the problem (Heroic, Crossover or Rockstar Games Launcher?).
Fixes are well accepted! :-)

Same problem for me GTA offline works fine but GTA Online crashes after 10 mins of gameplay, sucks cause I only want to play online.
Tried everything
Changed dx version
enable/disable dxvk
reinstalled the game
tried different versions of heroic
problem is definitely with crossover it seems like now
tho checked heroic logs it said

Idk what it supposed to mean but problem started after this update it seems like.

So, are there any relationships between legendary and GTA online? My mac could not download this.

I can download from the given link above but can't run it through heroic, gives me an error

Anyone has solution? or we just wait?

Couple of things I have tried further to eliminate the source
Tried the legendary update and launched using terminal instead of heroic doesn't work
Tried reinstalling the mac and moving the game in internal storage from hdd doesn't work
So the problem is definitely with crossover or Macos Ventura update the online anti cheat might be doing this,
so I guess we just have to wait for some kind of update.

It doesn't matter witch macOS you have, I downgraded it Monterey two days ago...same issue as described above...CodeWeavers pls help!!!!

eu também tenho mesmo problema, ai pessoal a galera do crossover, desculpa ser chato mais já ta fazendo nos perder a paciência pois passou quase 2 meses e ainda não ouve nenhuma solução. única razão de eu ter comprador o crossover foi para jogar mais até agora nada resolveu, será que vai ficar assim ??????

I don't want to get anyone's hopes up too much, but there's a chance that yesterday's update to GTAV might have fixed this issue. We haven't been able to reproduce it so far today in house, but that could of course be coincidence :/

Edit: Two more I just saw (on separate occasions) are:

ERR_MEM_EMBEDDEDALLOC_ALLOC
Out of game memory. Please reboot and restart the game.

the bug is still there, and it ran for 5 minutes and then it crashed, and also the graphic performance was terrible when it was running

The game worked fine for me for a couple days after the big update, then started freezing again after a couple minutes.

I noticed most of the crashes I've been getting recently reported ERR_MEM_EMBEDDEDALLOC_ALLOC so I tried installing Heap Limit Adjuster, it did not work lol

I want to play GTA, but I know it would crash again. :( merry xmas. so, it's running out of memory while we play online after a few minutes, but not for two days after the Dec 13th update? :(

yess... it does crash in 10 min.... I too used to play for hours with no such crash, but now it starts getting bugged and lowering the frames and the second you know, the game is crashes

Try 21.1.0 beta, now appears to be fixed.

Now Im using 22.0.1 newest version for 14 days free, it crash all the time.
I used steam to launched GTA V.

If 21.1.0 version works. How to download it? I cant find the older version download link.

I think they meant version 22.1.0, not 21.1.0. 22 is the version that's in beta testing right now

Apologies, that’s correct. 22.1.0 beta version this game runs perfect either story or online via heroic launcher.

Install Rockstar Games Launcher into a new bottle, toggle DXVK on, install GTA 5 via Heroic Games Launcher.

Before launching the game via Heroic, launch Rockstar Games Launcher and keep this running, then launch the game in Heroic.

To clarify, this is via Epic Games. Unsure the exact process for Steam as I only own the game on Epic.

Steam sent an update, gta 5 online seems to work

No, lags and crashes remained, but there were fewer of them

Try the 22.1.0 beta if you haven't already. There is some slowness to start in GTA Online, but irons out quickly. Haven't had a crash as yet.
