If you take the audio folder out of the gta folder the app will run but really rough. Still trying some other things but its almost there :). and why does no one answer on this site. 😀

GTA San Andreas is running very smoothly on my mac pro, i do not have to pull out the audio folder... Only problem, face textures (only on caracters) are some times going away, and comming back.

Any new info on getting this game to work? I installed it fine, but I can't get it to load as clicking on the icon does nothing. I'm using MacBookPro 2.4 GHz with 2 GB M, GeForce 8600, and the latest version of Leopard

Any chance that this would work on a Macbook?

Yes it works on a MacBook for me.
BUT the game is running VERY slow.
Too slow to play the game normal.

This is not what you want to do. You HAVE to configure a sound card under WINE tools. This game will not run without a soundcard (see readme file). Using this method, you will not lose your sound.

Also, I attempt to help resolve issues with GTA:SA whenever possible. However, sometimes there are no easy solutions. This does not mean the community has stopped trying =p.
