Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Forum

I have problems adding songs to GTA, as it requires shorcuts in the documents folders (Extension .lnk) Is there a shortcut creator? GTA doesn't accept raw .mp3 files

I tried converting to .ogg (via Adobe Audition batch process), then created alias, then renamed with “ alias” removed, so it was named with extension .ogg again, but it was really still an alias, and tried these same 3 steps initially with .mp3 also and nothing worked.
To be clear, I tried running the game through each step, scanned each time manually, even though I have auto scan activated. Nothing. I switch to user track station in vehicle and it plays nothing, not even commercial, then after a short while it crashes. When “ alias” was the name, it would only play commercials, as if it didn’t even recognize it.
Next I may try manually renaming them to .lnk to see if that works.
