Sound worked fine, crashed once and never started working again (GTA:SA)

I installed GTA:SA, it worked fine, graphics are fine.
Suddenly, the sound stopped working. I restarted the system, changed sound settings and so on, but the sound is gone. I use the alsa backend (i can't change it, anyways) and usually, the sound works fine.
Is there any way i can get it working again?

crossover version: 11.3.1
system: ubuntu 12.04 64 bit

I got it working again, I set the windows version to Vista and mmdevapi to "native, builtin".
