I get an error during installation that PSAPI.DLL was not found. I made a copy of the dll from a windows installation into
~/.cxofficebeta/google/drive_c/Windows/System
I launched the installation again and this time, it completed successfully. Once the installation was done, the app never worked ...

rhbliss@hotmail.com. I have no idea what you are doing. I think GoogleEarth is fantastic, but can't get it on my computer.

I have had limited success installing this with 5.0 release on SuSE 9.3.

1. create a new bottle google using win98 template.
2. install DCOM95 (do NOT install IE6).
3. download psapi.dll from dll-files.com and place in System folder.
4. using winecfg change Windows version to XP.
5. install GoogleEarth.exe as unsupported software.
6. using winecfg add dlloverides for ole32, usp10 and msvcrt to native.
7. launch the first time, let it log in and click the window close X box which will cause a window to pop up indicating the app wants to download the mozilla active-x control. Do so.

After the above it mostly works, but the menus and overlays do not display correctly.

I can install and start up Google Earth with this procedure, but nothing actually displays in the main window. I also get a message during start up telling me that my graphics card is not properly installed and that google earth is unlikely to work properly. Is there a step missing here ?
