After installing DCOM95 and setting the windows version to winXP the installation works and the program is installed.

Trying to run (again with windows version set to winxp) the program can run giving a error that can't connect to the server fro account activation, pointing to this URL:

Update:

After installing Internet explorer (changing the version of wine to win98) and going back later to winxp google earth runs , but can't display the graphics:

• no display updates with opengl driver
• no textures with direct x (tried after installing direct x 8)

Mine is doing the same thing. I have done everything Microsoft recommended but still the same error.

i cant seem to get google Earth to work it come,s up but then it say,s we were unable to connect to google earth servers to activate your account please verify that your internet connection is working properly and retry your account activation Error code: c000000b and i have gone to the help site and i still cant seem to get it going so can i get some help please thank you

I've got the same problem. Installs fine and will run in SuSE 9.3 with Crossover 4.2 but it will not display the graphics. I tried a few searches and the seemed to fun (no cannot connect to server errors).
