Glyph downloads and installs just fine, but won't run on Mac at all.
This is what the error says:
"The program GlyphClient.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Same here. I am going to compare this to my PlayOnLinux install and see if I can figure what is going on.
I feel dumb. The answer was right in front of me.
But anyway, here are the optimizations I pulled from PoL and got things working sofar.
Registry Edits:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D
DirectDrawRenderer = opengl
Multisampling = disabled
StrictDrawOrdering = enabled
UseGLSL = enabled
VideoMemorySize = your VRAM size
In the Wine Configuration -> Libraries tab:
Enter a new override == msvcr110.dll
Set it to native, builtin
And lastly, if you are looking to get Rift to run, I needed to get Direct X Modern and Direct X Web Installer installed.
Web Installer Page:
https://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=7558
Do a search for DirectX Modern in the Software Installer or you can use DirectX 9.
The difference bwetween modern and legacy is denoted here :
https://www.codeweavers.com/support/forums/general/?t=26;forumcurPos=150;msg=158715
In short legacy is to work with 2k onward, Modern is XP onward.
We should set msvcr110 to native for Glyph. Is it possible that this is an old installation?
how do you do all of the stuff that you said you have to do in order to get trove working?
Yea that didn't work for me. If anyone could give me a reason why it says "Glyphinstall.exe has encountered as serious problem and needs to close sorry for the inconvenience" and tell me how to fix it that would be great.
