Game almost works without .net 3.5

The game seems to work alright, actually, except for a few minor irritances.

First, there is a problem with the turning radius being limited because of the mouse hitting the edges of the screen. Changing the wine configuration to stop the mouse from leaving the window does not seem to help. I am sure this can be easily fixed, though.

The only other problem I noticed was that the top 8 or so menu items do not show on the 'esc' menu. This is not really a problem if you know the hotkeys for these menu items, and if you know where the item is normally, you can still click it without seeing it. This might actually be a problem with anti-aliasing, as I have heard users on windows having this problem because of forcing anti-aliasing.

Other than that, the game seems to run fine, despite it's .net 3.5 requirements. Any ideas?

Thanks for the update. I have not been able to run the game. I get the splash screens and all. It installs OK. It hung on the .net 3.5 install, so I just canceled out of that and it worked.

My problem is that the login screen pops up as a little 2x4 inch window. You cant resize it or anything. It's frustrating because I know the game is there and working, if I could just get past this one issue. I'll have to give it a shot again after reading your post. Thanks again.

You can try setting the MouseWarpOverride key in the registry. See here for an explanation. In addition to the values listed there, CrossOver supports one called "force_edge" which can be useful if "force" works in-game but breaks in the game's menu or the like.
