GemCad a jewelry program

I have been running this program for several years using crossover. The only problem I have encountered is printing the final document. The graphics print fine but the detailed instruction list does not. I have contacted crossover about this and they were kind enough to offer a solution using Terminal. This is a daunting task for me so I was wondering if other printing problems may have been addressed and the solution is at hand in a later version of Crossover.

Thanks
Jim Foster

Jim can you share the instructions to print via Terminal?

Thanks,

MIke

Sorry Mike for the delay - I rarely visit this site.

Unfortunately I seem to have deleted the message from Crossover with the terminal instructions - as I recall I also tried something called CUPS but that did not work for me either.

I now appear to be having a system crash problem when Crossover is in my Applications folder so I have to ask them about that.

I just installed GemPrint (the GemCad printing utility), and it displays fine in a win98 bottle, but unfortunately it doesn't print properly, so we might be having similar issues. The gem diagram prints fine, but the cutting instructions don't properly display, and only the bottom line is visible--it looks like the others are being stomped on by a text box or something.

Is this what you encountered when printing with GemCad? I tried installing the common fonts pack for CrossOver (9.2*), but that didn't help.

*I was checking out GemPrint, but if GemCAD works okay, I'll buy the latest CrossOver.
