Last Time
I've been through many trouble to get Garry's Mod working on CrossOver, it cost me to restore to factory condition a few times as well. What I did that time was messing up with installing bunch of things that it needs, including Mesa package which messed up with my OpenGL rendering.
Now, I restored to factory condition again, this time, I only upgraded my OpenGL libraries and installed a Mouse Accelerator. For some reason, Garry's Mod did run...but there are a few problem when I tried to run, its now fixed.
Now
The performance is GREAT, the recommended setting are all High, except the shadow is Medium. I am running on EEE PC 701, Xandros. Graphic Card, RAMs and the hardware should meet the minimum requirement of Garry's Mod as I've played it in XP before. There is a first successful launch of Garry's Mod when I'm using Linux. This is enough to prove that Garry's Mod still may run.
Problems:
Whenever I start a Server, it will show the loading screen, then, the game terminate. Compare to my older problem(which did not occur), the game will bring Steam and Garry's Mod down too. But this time, it only crashes with no error message when I press the "Start Singleplayer" button. I'm under a project which require me to use Singleplayer as the duplication file is there. Plus, I don't intend to use Multi-player.
There are no progress, the loading screen appear, the logo and letters does not have the chance to appear, and the game terminate. This link is my undone project:Done from the outside, but many feature is not coded yet!
