Installs, but crashes when opened.

I just installed Galactic Civs II Gold Edition on a 27 inch iMac with a 2.93 GHz quad core running OS 10.6.7 on Crossover version 10.1. The game installs (although the setup.exe file has to be selected manually from the disc), but when I try to boot it it immediately crashes, prompting an error message that says "The program dalaunch.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close." Has anyone successfully installed from the Gold Edition disc on version 10.1? If so, any suggestions?
