Hey David...
...that'd be a bit odd ...GOG.com usually bundle a version
of this with their game downloads, and although we don't
actually need it perse, I do recall checking it anyhow, and
it did work (...a few years ago ;)...might be a version thing...

Huh that's odd. Could be a version thing.
The best PDF reader I've found that works well in CrossOver is Sumatra.
My favorite on Windows is PDF-Viewer and that sort of works with CrossOver.
Man I wish Linux had the equivalent of Mac's Preview.
