Hi there, a few days ago I installed Foobar2000 x86 (v2.1.3) and I've been testing it since then. Everything I've tried works fine.
To keep my previous customization from Windows (virtual box) I copied the following files:
/.cxoffice/Foobar2000/drive_c/users/crossover/AppData/Roaming/foobar2000-v2/
config.sqlite
metadb.sqlite
theme.fth
This way I didn't have to redo the UI to my taste and kept my custom conversions on the tracks right-click menu.
I installed the encoder pack
(source) https://www.foobar2000.org/getfile/Free_Encoder_Pack-2024-03-08.exe
At this location
/.cxoffice/Foobar2000/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/foobar2000/encoders/
And it recognized them without problems. I tested several conversions, FLAC > WAV, FLAC > MP3, to Orbis, and downmixing 24/96 to 16/44.
I'm using ffmpeg to convert to AAC and AC3 so I downloaded the latest Win version and placed it in its own folder at
/.cxoffice/Foobar2000/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/foobar2000/ffmpeg/
Once I ran my first ffmpeg conversion and told foobar the location, it remembered it the next time. Conversions were fine (FLAC/WAV > AAC, FLAC/WAV > AC3).
I also installed some extra components, foo_masstag and foo_dynamic_range. They work fine too.
Notice I installed the 32bit version since the default source CrossOver is using, even if old, is also the 32bit one.
I can provide more details if that helps.
Cheers!
