I got Flash 8 successfully running with Crossover Office 6.0.1 under SuSE 10.2.
I followed the installation prescription given by "luis@jazzmelody.net" in the Forum for Dreamweaver 8 (which I got running, too). See the contribution "Successfull install on SuSE Linux 10.1", there.
(Note, however, that there is an obvious small mistake in the third copy line Luis describes - the folder "Application Data" is omitted on the .cxoffice side. The correct sentence should therefore be
Copy the "Macromedia" folder from C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ on Windows to ~/.cxoffice/win2000/drive_c/windows/profiles/All Users/Application Data" on the Linux box.<<< )
I just copied the Flash Files from a regular Flash installation on a Windows XP system (actually an XP installation on a virtual VMware machine running within my SUSE 10.2 Linux).
I did some preliminary tests - so far the design functionality worked and also testing of movies in the Flash stand alone player is working surprisingly well and fast.
Although this is not a conventional installation from the CD it is OK for me. But you need some kind of previous installation on a running Windows system (in my case in VMware) - and of course you must have passed the activation procedure for the Macromedia product on the Windows system.
