I'm still finding my way around here...I'll bump the app status accordingly in due time...
Not yet tested all it's bells&whistles, but FL_studio_8 demo version installs & seems
to run OK -- utilized CrossOver_Office(std)/CrossOver_Games ver.7.1.0 in linux. Also
works in legless flightless mallard versions 7.1.2 as well. The installer executable
popped 6 or so warning boxes, quoting "Cannot read access control list. Error code 1400"
which were ignored and ack'd by clicking on 'OK' - installation completed successfully
regardless of such apparent errors. It was installed into it's own unsupported bottle,
clone of the inbuilt winxp profile.
I need to check this app in it's native env: - it wasn't doing a couple of things I
thought it should have (might be a demo limitation). Also, this rig has an emu10k1
soundcard fitted, and fruityloops might have seen those hardware synths sitting there,
and as a result turned all this into a doddle..for me. Later, I'll pop the sblive! out
and see what happens in result...(note to self, expect trouble)...just to isolate if
or not there's any 'hardware empathy' possibly underlying this seamless (cross)install.
After I check these few things out, I'll be a bit wiser...otherwise, it looks promising.
