The latest upgrade: flstudio_win_20.8.0.2115 (Dec, 2020) installs without complaint on Crossover 20.0.2 (On Linux Mint 20.0.2 64 Bit, XFCE) into a fresh Win7-32 Bottle and my previous FL Studio 20.7.3.1987 bottles (Win7-32 and Win10-64), but it fails to run.

The CrossTie installs FL 20.7 (...which runs great!) so you need to download manually from the Image-Line site to try 20.8.

The App crashes with this (or similar) message on my system:

FL Studio (20.8.0.2115) has encountered an error and needs to restart.

I'm seeing the same thing with a number of different install attempts.

I've tried installing into 64-bit Win 7 and Win 10 bottles.
I've tried installing with default options vs everything off but the 64-bit version of FL Studio.
I've tried installing for all users vs current user.
Also, since "C:/users/crossover/My Documents" in the bottle is just a link to /home/<current_user>/Documents, I also tried removing the existing "Image-Line" folder in there and installing.

In every case the installation went fine, but I got the same error message as above ("List index out of bounds") when I attempted to run the application.

I can also confirm that previous versions of FL Studio 20 worked fine for me (64-bit, win 7 and win 10).

FL Studio 20.8 has a universal binary format on the MAC Version which runs on X86 Intel 64 and ARM with Rosetta2 . Which seems to run fine on intel Macs and with reduced performance on the Apple M1 Macs.
FL Studio uses x86 machine code in earlier versions partly which was ok till the Mac architecture change. (This is why it is slower on M1 currently) could be that they also have changed stuff on the windows version ?
Since it runs without crossover on Mac why would you try to use crossover ?

Because I'm using crossover on linux.

Upgraded Crossover to 20.0.4. The problem persists.
A support ticket has been filed for this issue and I am optimistic that it will be resolved soon.
Thanks, for the link to the WineHQ Forum site. Maybe this or a similar patch will fix the problem here too.

There's a patch ( https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=50362#c16) but it hasn't been merged into vanilla Wine yet and you have to compile it yourself.
I did so with wine-tkg (fork) and it works!

The patches to wine have been applied to Crossover 21 and FL20.8 series now installs and runs well. Thanks!!
