FL STUDIO MOBILE

I was just wondering one thing about FL STUDIO. It's great that we have FL STUDIO 10 working pretty well under crossover, but what puzzles me is since IMAGELINE has the code running for FL STUDIO MOBILE APP on IOS, why they don't port that to a mac application?

I realize it's a bigger job then just copying the code and running it, however it's ALOT EASIER than trying to get this to work with Windows emulation.
Or they could just create a slimmed down version for MAC (FL STUDIO LITE) in XCODE, and then the full version should run in Codeweavers.

Either way, it's a little puzzling, mainly because the CODEBASE is already there for IOS/MAC.

Any thoughts on this from fellow members?

Its a completely different program. Im sure it shares SOME code with the original FL Studio, but I don't think its much more.
The original FL Studio was written in large parts in Delphi, and in a quite "Win API dependent" kind of way. Delphi on its own is already an almost win-only language.

Its more of a "Toy", if you want MHO, and faaaaaar away from being such a fully fledged DAW as the original is.

About the "its easier than emulation". Thats a very certain: "No."

I cant think of an easier way (except going native) than emulation (although wine is not an emulator ;)).
You cant compare the work of a developer that ports a whole, probably quite complex and most certainly very often
/ @todo: ugly hack, do proper /, program, to the "work" you, as user, do, by just running it through wine or CrossOver.

Apart from all the things i wrote, I would of course welcome a Port of FL Studio to other platforms, but i dont think it will happen (soon).

lopho i definitely agree that it's no comparison to FL STUDIO 10.

It's sad that the code was written in Delphi, and not ported to a more cross-platform language before now. I doubt it ever will though.

I agree that FL Studio Mobile will never be fully fledged DAW. I doubt it either that FL studio will ever be ported to other platforms.

Don't get me wrong crossover is great alternative, and at least we have one just would be nice to see a native app on the Mac 😀
