keyboard doesnt work ?!!!!!

the keyboard doesnt work when i open FL Studio.
It worked wen i first installed it and now its not working.
cant figure out why.

it also will not let me load in new plugins or import any kind of sound file wav or mp3 etc. to the fruity slicer

i first would need some more information:

  • what os are you using

  • do you have the full version of fl studio

  • have you followed the instructions in the "Tips & Tricks" section to install? (use winxp bottle, register reg file, add vorbis codec? )

  • when you say "keyboard", do you mean a keyboard for typing, or a midi (or usb) keyboard for playing notes?

  • if it is a "music" keyboard, which one is it (pure midi, usb, brand, with build-in soundcard)

  • have you checked the settings of fl studio ?

  • what kind of plugins do you mean, are they vsts? could you please name the plugins you mean.

i am running a full version,
fl studio 10 producer edition,

and i was talking about the keyboard on my laptop, i get that error sound whenever i type anything at all and none of the sounds play sometimes when i open it, but other times it will work??. should i reinstall crossover??
also when i save or import a file (mP3 or wav) into the program it crashes and asks me if i want to save the flp im working on.
thanks in advance!

if you are talking about using the typing keyboard as a music keyboard, there is a setting in the options that enables/dissables this.
under the options menu, there is an option called "typing keyboard to piano". either click that, or hit ctrl+t.
that should solve it for you.
