Installer Crash Error message

2007-02-19 23:37:13.054 SyndicationAgent[528] WARNING: BestCalendarDateFromString - can't interpret: 'Mon 19 Feb 2007 20:23:17 -800'

Apparently the installer can't interpret today's date. At the end of the installation for pol viewer, it gets stuck at 100%... something about "Publishing", and then this error comes up in console.

I told crossover to force it. Now, when I open pol viewer, it appears to come up for a split second as a white screen then vanish.

If anyone is still interested in this... I'm trying to figure out (just for experimental purposes) how to run the ffxi windower under crossover. I'm thinking that crossover may be able to handle windower better than pol viewer.

The problem is really that the POL Viewer is such a huge burden to crack without the publisher's cooperation that realistically, we can't expect work on it to proceed without some relatively large pledges. Why work on something so difficult that won't realistically produce sales, when working on things like, getting Microsoft Access to work will net over $8500? Assume a single person's time is worth $50/hr or so, and then think whether the massive problems in getting POL to work can be solved in 10 hours, vs the somewhat less massive problems (though still quite large) in getting something like Access to work, when there's 170 man-hours to work on that, and still earn $50/hr.

It's basic economics at work here... there are simply bigger, tastier fish to fry than the POL viewer right now. (No insult intended to CodeWeavers, I wouldn't work on POL either given the economics of it)

I actually ran across CrossOver while trying to find a way to run FFXI on OS X without using something like Parallels, so I'm testing this and I'm curious as to how far the Original Poster got on getting Windower or POL/FFXI to work on CrossOver. Basically if this game works with CrossOver I will purchase it right away, since it's the only real reason I need windows anymore.
