FileMaker Pro 5.5 Forum

I haven't been able to make FMP5.5 working.
Install goes, but I'm not asked for the serial number.
Tried to go Xover Configuration, choose Repair/Delete FMP5.5, on next screen I choose to repair : I'm been asked for the serial number then for Internet Registration.
Anyway, FMP5.5 can't be launched, I'm told (translation from French) "This software has been bad installed or modified by another software.Once problem identified, re-launch installation".
I'd be happy to have some feedback about this version on Xover

i've been testing filemaker pro 5.5 (english one) today and working (access existing databases which actually is what I only need) with last version of crossover and linux ubuntu breezy

I have got filemaker pro 5.5 developer to work to work perfectly under cx on ubuntu 7.10 without any tweaks

Laptop : ASUS F3J-AP036P
OS : Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy)
Cross Over : 6.2.0

Everything seems to work OK :)

EDITION 080317 :
1) when application is launching I get garbage text instead of FileMaker logo.
2) when going to 'file -> design fields', the field list sometimes does not appear (often 1st time).

FMP 5.5 works perfect.
