Launch freeze

I installed FIFA 11 on Crossover and after a slightly rough installation of the .NET frameworks (involving CrossOver thinking I had two of each version installed when I only had one of each), I managed to get the thing installed, and opened it up to the intro/config/splash screen. When I clicked Play, it freezed, and after not responding for several minutes, I quit and tried again, having had a similar problem with FIFA 10 that would work every few tries. However, despite trying various different configurations (including desktop integration/no desktop integration, varying graphics settings both in-game and as the bottle's setup, uninstalling the Download Manager and reinstalling the whole game without it, restarting my actual computer…), it continues to freeze every time.

I'm running CrossOver Games 10.1, on a 2010 13" MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard 10.6.3. I recognize that this isn't the most recent Snow Leopard build, however given the changes in the upgrades I doubt this is the source of the problem. My graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce 320M.

EDIT: update, more recently I've been getting a peculiar error instead of a freeze, which just says "E0001", with an OK button.

I managed to get the thing installed,

So what did you do about the installation of the .NET frameworks? And by frameworks do you mean you installed 2.0 and 3.0?

I have the exact same Macbook as you, and I only installed .NET framework 2.0- in the bottle it said there were two copies of the framework. I ignored that and proceded with the installation. The installation went fine and the game loads and runs perfectly fine. Try installing only the .NET framework 2.0 in a new bottle, ignore the duplication, then install the game.
See how it goes! If it doesn't work, come back here and say what happened.
