Issue with Steam version of Fallout 2

I try to run the steam version via Crossover 15.1.0 and every time it performs the first time set up of direct x and the .net framework and then nothing. No game starts up at all. I'm having the same issue with Fallout. Does anyone have a hint of a solution?
