FakeFactory's Cinematic Mod Forum

The Cinematic Mod (CM) is a Half-Life 2 modification, that adds more
details and a darker look to the original Half-Life 2 series. The
latest versions of CM applies modifications to all three HalfLife 2
episodes. I tested CM v10.x LE with a Steam / Orange Box
installation. See the other thread in this forum about the different
versions of CM available.

Note: When you install CM into a Steam Orange Box situation, the
-original- versions of the 3 HalfLife 2 episodes become no longer
available via the Steam client - the error message text says that
the registry is in use by another process - that process is CM itself.

Note: You will need over 20gb of free disk space to install CM v10.x LE

Note: You must start all 3 HalfLife 2 episodes at least once before
you install CM so that all the needed runtime/user files are created.

Installation was straightforward;

1. Download the CM installer exe/archive (you will need to unpack the archive
   into it's own directory first to get the installer exe)

2. Install CM into the same bottle you have Steam / The Orange Box installed in.

3. Play the game/mod.

The only strangeness I've seen so far, is that Dog is bright pink...
