Broken Graphics

I had EQ running under WINE, and when my system blew up I decided to install CWG to run EQ. I have followed all the instructions here, and the graphics are still not working and the game is freezing up. Here are the steps I did

1) Installed CodeWeavers Games
2) Downloaded and installed the EQ Patcher program (I let it run over night to get a good install)
[] This did not work, no models and system locked up as soon as I entered world
3) Copied the d3dx9_30.dll to the windows/system 32 directory
[] This did not work, no models and system locked up as soon as I entered world
4) Copied the d3dx9_30.dll to the EverQuest directory
[] I got the models to load at this point but they were all funky (weird triangles and stuff), system locked up as soon as I entered world
5) Copied my old .wine folder information over top of the .cxgames bottle folder (replacing all the files with the ones that were working a few days ago under WINE)
[] I got the models to load at this point but they were all funky (weird triangles and stuff), system locked up as soon as I entered world
6) Installed WINE back on my system
[] Same as above, it no longer works.

Any suggestions?

Nevermind, I figured it out... helps to have the NVIDIA drivers installed before running EQ.

when i get into pok, i think we need dirext x 9.0 c. try it, good
luck

Not sure why the above post is not showing up here as I got an email notifying me of this reply, but anyway: If you turn off pixel shaders you won't see a lot of the textures in newer expansions, so if this doesn't bother you (keep in mind this also applies to some items and such from these expansions) then by all means, try it. And you do need DirectX installed in the bottle for best results.
