DX11 Shaders not working

DX11 now on test will not work with Crossover 23.5 on Mac Sonoma with D3DMetal active Shaders do not work. Only can see the UI, Nameplates, and particle effects.

DX11 to be pushed to Live Servers in October. This will make Everquest unplayable in Crossover. Not sure if this is just a bad implementation of DX11 on Daybreaks side, an issue that can be fixed in Crossover or a deficiency in D3DMetal.

Hopefully someone at Codeweavers can address the issue.

Hi,
i have the same problem, with Crossover 23.5 on Mac Sonoma with D3DMetal active Shaders do not work. Only can see the UI, Nameplates, and particle effects.
At the moment the best workaround i have found is to use DXVK, then you can see the background and everything else, just missing the weapons in both hands and must use new luclin model. if you use the old model the face and body have no render but a white solid see
Hope its a everquest client that will be fixed soon but in case , please at codwavers, take a look into it

thanks

Good catch I had tried DXVK but it didn't work for me it would crash so I made a fresh bottle just for test server using the crosstie and now DXVK does work but like you stated weapon and shield textures do not load but I can live with that for now but I will put a support ticket in for D3Dmetal but that may be an Apple issue not a Codeweavers issue,

I was getting worried as the DX11 update is being pushed to live on 10/18/2023.

Hello,
According to [1] this is a bug in the converter in wine [2]. The fixed files are here [3]. I guess we need codeweavers to take the patched file?

For this and other issues I've explained on my other posts, I started playing EQ on Parallels, and guess what - none of the issues with CrossOver. I've been playing EQ with no issues for the past month, so I'm dropping CrossOver for a more stable gaming platform.

I would suggest you guys give Parallels a try - none of the headaches and more playtime.

As of 12/11/2024, still having the issue regarding only UI and Nameplates loading, only when using D3DMetal setting. Using DXVK boots the game to a black screen and does not show the UI. Using neither DX11 setting produces an error saying that the video card does not support DX11. This is on a base M1 Air 2020. Issues began around March of 2024 and have not been resolved.

The upcoming DX11 update for Everquest, set to be launched in October, may render the game unplayable in Crossover 23.5 on Mac Sonoma, leaving only the UI visible. While we wait for a fix, why not dive into Snow Rider 3D for a thrilling gaming experience? Hopefully, Codeweavers can resolve this issue soon.
