Everquest 2 works well in CrossOver 9.2

I just wanted to say that Everquest 2 works very well in CrossOver 9.2. I managed to install and run the game using a version of Sony's Station Launchpad, although I haven't gotten their most recent installer to work.

It downloaded most of the game, and then failed with the error message "There was a problem confirming the size of the file C:\Program Files\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\Everquest II\lp_temp\UI\Default\eq2ui_mainhud_tutorial.xml." However, I just had to run a full file scan within the installer and restart the download, and it worked like a charm.

Playing from an existing installation dírectory also works fine, of course, both the patcher and the game itself.

I also did some preliminary in-game testing using a WinXP bottle, and only the HTML rendering engine and DirectX (modern) installed.

Test system: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3.0 GHz, nVidia GeForce 8800 GT chip w/ 512 MiB, Ubuntu 10.10.

I put the graphics settings to Extreme Quality (the highest), and experienced no crashes. In two places, I noticed rendering issues: the trees in Greater Faydark, and the tents on the shore of Isle of Mara. Both looked strange and had diagonal lines running over them. However, apart from that, the graphics were beautiful.

The sound disappeared a few times for some unknown reason, and came back upon restarting the application.

Zones tested: Baubbleshire, Qeynos tradeskill instance, Antonica, Frostfang sea, Enchanted lands, Butcherblock Mountains, Greater Faydark, Isle of Mara, Lavastorm.
