Using the linked installer from the Crossover wizard to re/install a new game and choosing a Win 10 64-bit bottle would say it installed but the eq2 loader kept hanging at the preloading assets and would crash consistently after 60 seconds. Seems it broke the CX ties.
I temporarily had my EQ2 install working by creating a new Win 10 64-bit bottle, moving my EQ folder into the same directory structure as my old Win7 32-bit bottle, and then manually downloading the installer from the EQ2 Website. I tested opening the game, launching a character and running around. Camped out of game, tried a few times. It was working.
This afternoon, I launched the game and now it's back to lasting 60 seconds and then quits. It sits at preloading resources 0% and then the window just disappears. Guess I'll have to keep playing with it. Let me know if you figure anything out.
Found a fix!
Install EQ2 via Steam to a Windows 10 64-bit Bottle
Add the following Launch Option to the game by right-clicking the title in Steam:
--disable-gpu
Game patches and runs fine now.
