Streaming client for EQ2 and EQ2X installs fine and downloads the first chunk before the Play button becomes available. When I click Play, Crossover crashes... the game never launches.
I'm using 10.1.1 and installed via Crosstie. I'm on a 2010 MBP running the new Lion 10.7 (fresh install). Video card is the Nvidia 330M.
Any ideas? I thought the Crosstie installs were supposed to be pretty solid.
With games that are constantly updating like EQ II sometimes they suddenly stop working.
You may want to install an older version of CXG since 9.2 seems to work best.
Oh wait never mind. Note the game seems to work on Linux but not so much on a Mac. That maybe it right there. Look at the medal break-down.
Yeah, that medal breakdown does look relevant... That's disappointing.
JP it's not all bad, it may still work on a Mac, we just haven't found out how yet.
If it works on Linux that's encouraging. I was just trying to explain why the cross tie wasn't working. Try installing it without the cross-tie.
The cross-tie uses the new installer/patcher from Sony's web site. The installers/patchers from the retail disks are generally easier to get running, and work just as well.
I think you just need to place the eq2.exe file in a folder and run it, and it'll download the entire game for you. Maybe you can get it from an old installation.
