90% running...

I wanted to speak up and say I'm currently running this software with about 90% functionality "out of the box".

Remaining problems...

  • My skymaps freak out and go completely black most of the time
  • Reflective (and possibly others) surfaces are a mosaic of Picture-In-Picture screens
  • Particle effects are largely non-existant i.e. ghosts are invisible light sources, stealthed players are completely invisible instead of smoky outlines

I have sound working in surround sound mode. I don't have EAX options available but that's probably just something I'll live with until Creative gets their act together.

The game runs at any graphical settings from minimum to extreme although hardware limitations compel me to bump them down to merely "high".

None of this is stopping me from playing, thanks for the good work!

My experience is very similar. The water effects are not too bad, but they get funky when trying to reflect something. Otherwise, it works nearly perfectly!

Running on Linux Ubuntu 8.04 with Crossover Games 7.1.0

I'm having similar success running this app.

I even have the voice chat working correctly.

I'm getting the same glitches that kyle is getting above. Plus these:

  • In the character creation lab the character's zoomed-in face does not appear.
  • When I first started playing occasionally the top half of the screen would go black. I fixed this by playing with the ambient light settings.
  • Log in screen won't display the (I presume) HTML content on the side including the license.

Still to test:

  • Sound in surround sound mode.
  • Possible display options to get rid of the reflective glitch.
  • Source of an autorun glitch I had earlier

This is on Cross Over Games 7.1 Linux SUSE 11 (I submitted a screen shot but it's under Everquest II).

Found the source of the autorun glitch.

Apparently the program gets a key input stuck. Either forward or side key. To fix it press the oposite direction that go stuck so the character will stop moving then switch to another window. Let go of the key. When you come back the keyboard seems to reset.

I am getting a failed to Init font zapf calligraphic 801 bold BT any ideas or and work arounds that anyone knows of?

Hmm Ken sounds like you are missing a file from the installation of the game. When I installed it it loaded up a lot of fonts. Did you install the core fonts?
