Window minimization quirk. Also, question about screenshots.

First off.. hello! Good to be here!

Secondly, I wanted to see if this problem (or 'quirk' I guess) was unique to me of if others were having the same issue. Whenever I minimize a window in EVE (ie. Market, Items, Chat window, etc..) it minimizes just fine but after that point I am unable to re-open the window because my mouse stops at the bottom of the screen just before it can get to the window to re-open it. It's like there's an invisible barrier about 100 or so pixels from the bottom. This is really only an issue for the chat windows, I think, because any of the other windows can be re-opened by simply clicking on their button in the icon bar.

Thirdly, how does one take screenshots on the Mac? I know that on the PC, you can use "Shift+PrintScreen" but there's no PrintScreen key on the Mac keyboard. I tried Shift+ F13 through F16 but no joy. Is there another way to do this that I (obviously) am clueless about? I see that other people have posted screenshots so I'm sure it's possible. :)

Yup, we all seem to have the minimization problem, my solution is using ctrl+tab to tab through minimzied windows, works well enough.
To take a Screenshot simply press Command+Shift+3 it sends a Fullscreen Screenshot to your desk.
I'm really nervous because of Rev II, I hope everything goes smoothly.

Jens: Thanks for the tips. :)

And yes, I'm a bit nervous about Rev II. Guess we'll know in a couple of days if there's really something to worry about, hm?

Whelp I tried Sisi's Rev2 patches up until Saturday and everything worked as well as always under crossover.

They changed the path for the cache and some of the logs which caused my older version of crossover (6.01) to burp updating the machonet (bulk data). A quick tweak of the Machonet.bash found on this board and everything was happy again. Shouldn't even effect crossover 6.1 though, as I recall the latest version didn't need machonet.bash to aid in the bulk data updates.

Created a seperate thread for Rev II but that sure sounds promising !
Did you feel the "Need for Speed" ? ;)

I don't know if this suggestion was already made and discovered not to work...

The window minimization thing sounds like our bug with full-screen apps and the Dock. Due to issues with the quartz-wm component that we use from Mac OS X, full-screen apps can't make use of the part of the screen covered by the Dock (even though CrossOver hides the Dock when entering full-screen mode). The solution is to set the Dock to auto-hide before launching CrossOver. If you have multiple monitors, you can also move the Dock off of the main monitor.

I hope that helps.

Would that effect things no matter where the dock is? My dock is on the left of my screen and not the bottom.

My Dock is on auto-hide, has no effect, but the height of this area is also way less then the dock, just about the hight of one mouse cursor.
It is also perfectly aligned with some elements of the HUD (you can draw a streaight line there that is just above the clock and the minimized windows.
