Does anyone have any ideas or solutions to the lack of audio and the portrait glitches?

Although it's not a real fix if you have access to a windows installation you can copy the portraits from it's cache directory to the bottle's cache directory. I browsed through most items in the market to get a lot of icons generated and clicked on all my agents, friends, corp mates, etc to ensure I had a filled cache.

Open up the manage bottle window and go to the advanced tab. Click on open C: drive in finder and locate the Program Files->CCP->EVE->Cache folder. I prefer to only copy the portraits to the same folders and skip the index files.

No solution or workaround for the sound.

We know about the missing audio on the Mac for EVE. That unfortunately won't be fixed. It has something to do with our core audio driver missing direct sound emulation. Since EVE requires direct sound there is no audio.

So that's it? There will never be audio for EVE in OS X under Crossover?

Yes, there will be audio for EVE with CrossOver Mac. I'm in the process of investigating this and I hope to have a fix for our next release.
