Eve not working after reinstall of Purchased Crossover

I decided to purchase crossover after the new Eve patches went live on 1-31. After reinstalling everything, copying over the d3dx9 driver, the macho cache folder, and the ariel font, eve does not work at all. When I log in, I get the authenticating screen, and then nothing at all. Very disappointing! Unfortunately, my skillset does not allow me to troubleshoot it much further.

Is anyone else having the same issue with the new patch on Crossover Mac?

So you get to the authentication screen, type the user and password and then what happens exactly? Can you give more details?

I really wish I could give more details. I enter my username, my password, hit login, and it gives me the authenticating window, then nothing. It just sits there.

I know that is not much of a help, and I really wish I could give more information, but that's all it does.

Login and nothing happens.

I am wondering if anyone else is having this problem.

OK....

I just started from scratch and I am getting the same problem. The login just poofs after the authenticating window opens.

I am trying to install and run client 2.14.29316.

I have copied in the correct d3d driver from my previous install, I have copied in the ariel font, and I have set the bottles graphics to be emulated, and I copied over the Machonet folders. Still not able to login.

I am going to have to assume that client 2.14.29316 is "NOT" working in Crossover Mac 6.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What you're describing is exactly what I was getting before I ran the script to create the MachoNet folders.

Remove the MachoNet folders you created, and get this script you can download from here: http://elfe.mine.nu/eve/linux/MachoNet.bash

Copy the MachoNet.bash script to the EVE dir (on my box it's .cxoffice/EVE\ Online/drive_c/Program\ Files/CCP/EVE/) and run it with sh MachoNet.bash. See how that goes.

That did the trick!!!

For some reason, the old MachoNet folder from my previous installation was no good with the new patch. Running the script solved the problem straight away. Hopefully, anyone experiencing the same issue with their older MachoNet folder will find this post to get back up and running.

Thanks for the help Adalberto!

Glad you got it to work!

If for some reason anyone is unable to get the script working, copying the MachoNet directory from a currently patched Windows installation works perfectly. Installing the game on BootCamp and copying it from there worked just dandy for me.

hi i'm new to mac and am not very good with computers so I am sorry if my question sounds stupid.

but how do you run the MachoNet.bash script?

any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance
