OK, I have a friend I am working with getting EVE installed onto his SuSE laptop. He noted an install problem and I have been able to replicate it on my Fedora 14 x64 install here too. We are both on 10.1 CXG.

When we use the Crosstie from the page here or what was built into the Software Installer, we eventually end up with corrupted installers and an endless loop of trying to repair it, which it never does.

Anyone know the workaround? I saw some stuff at the appdb about VCRUN2008 being needed, but that didnt seem to solve it in the slightest. I just got more new corruption issues that were, again, endless. Without preinstalling VCRUN2008 I get the error on a roughly 5MB blob of data (cant say which file offhand).

I just tried to recreate this, and got the same result...however
when I clicked on the 'download manually' link, I got..

....and an error about their servers being down - perhaps this may
be participle here?

yep they codeweavers know about it just reading the tickets.

i get the same problem using ubuntu 11.04 though even when i have installed it on vista 64bit(as i duel boot) i still get the repair tool coming up but at least i can play it on that.

So i think it has something to do with CCP's file or something like that as its been like that for at least the last 12 months.

so for now you will just have to manually download it.
