A few of the tweaks for previous EU3 versions are needed to launch HTTT (mac cx games 8.2):
1)Manage Bottles: launch 'wineconfig' in 'Control Panel' for the relevant EU3 bottle. Go to Libraries tab, add library override (native, builtin) for 'd3dx9_36.dll'. (d3dx9_35.dll works too). Copy this file from a real windows install into /Windows/System32 of the EU3 bottle. Do the same override with dxdxof.dll, a real windows copy of this dll is needed to se the 3d 'town' in home provinces .
2)Click 'Run Command' and write&launch 'regedit'
create key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\DirectSound
here, create a 'string value' with name 'MaxShadowSize' and the value '0' (zero)
3?) Also look in the 'movies' subfolder of /Program Files/Paradox Interactive/Europa Universalis III/
Rename/delete/move any movies (these are 'intro' stuff that cannot be played)
Using the 'Run Command' to launch 'eu3game.exe' in the program folder. Two in-game bugs: Boundaries are 'fuzzy' and ships appear as white silhouettes. Otherwise the game runs smoothly with sound effects if Core Sound is enabled for the bottle. Fuzzy boundaries can be fixed as described for earlier versions of EU3, albeit at the expense of 'Terra Incognito'.
