Working ok in COG 8.1.x and linux

The demo of this title requires .NET 2.0 to work in crossover games.

The -full- version of this title requires .NET 2.0 and IE6 to work in
crossover games.

As neither .NET 2.0 or IE6 are installable targets in crossover-games,
you have to use the following work-around ;

  1. Create a new bottle in crossover-games
  2. Archive this bottle - then quit crossover-games
  3. Start crossover-standard and restore the archived bottle created above
  4. Install .NET 2.0 into this bottle using crossover-standard (if you have the full
version of Eufloria, also install IE6 as well at this time)
  5. Archive this bottle again - then quit crossover-standard
  6. Start crossover-games and restore the bottle created with crossover-standard
  7. Now in crossover-games, install the Eufloria program
  8. Game should start and run

Note: This game does run in Crossover Standard/Pro as well.

Cheers!

Heads up for those looking to install Eufloria:

Crossover Games does support installation of the .NET Framework 2.0

You do NOT need Crossover Standard or Pro to install and play Eufloria.

1) I created a winxp bottle using CrossOver Software Installer:
Select a bottle into which to install > New winxp Bottle...

2) I then used the CrossOver Software Installer to install:
Select an Application to Install > Runtime Support Components > Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0

3) I then used the CrossOver Software Installer to install:
Select an Application to Install > Unsupported Applications > Other Application
Select an Installer > Choose Installer File... > release_games_12038_InstallEufloria.exe

I then ran the game without a problem. I don't yet see why you would need to install Internet Explorer 6 at all. I have not done so and am running the full version of the game just fine.

Hi,

...please take note of the date of the original posting (some
2 years ago), and at that time (crossover games 8) we did need
parts of IE6. And, crossover games wasn't designed to install
,NET 2,0 oe IE6, so we -used- to work around it by preparing the
bottle in standard crossover. Back at that time, we didn't have
crossties, but now we do and the .NET stuff is installed as part
of the Eufloria crosstie...

...point is, always check thread creation date/time, to be sure
you're not posting...perhaps uselessly and misleadingly... to
some juncture in the past that is no longer relevant... =)

Cheers!
