Eudora 7.1.0.9 Forum

The problem I have currently is - checking for incoming emails results in no action. I send a test email to myself, and I receive it in the Eudora client in my winXP machine. I receive a ton of emails on the winXP machine, but none in Mint Linux machine.

Eudora is the best one going, for very suble and not suble reasons, and not having it in Linux has kept me from making Linux my main goto machine, for over 15 years.

I have done side by side comparison/syncing of the preferences settings to try to make them both work the same.

I have seen this program listed in the compatibility list...

Has anyone else done this install of Eudora 7.1.0.9 (the latest stable one), and had gotten past this little hangup? I would love to hear from you.

After a half dozen more installs and configurations, I now got a client that RECEIVES emails!
It was tough and took days, but it was worth it (I can see some shaking their heads, but they don't know....).

What version of Crossover Office and Linux Mint did you use for this? I have been able to get Eudora to receive mail in Linux Mint 17.1 and 18 using CX16, but it does not display the email correctly (preview screen either black or white -- same when opening email). I was also not able to get SSL working, but if set Eudora to "none" (for SSL/TSL) it receives email fine.

Any info would be appreciated!
