Accessing EAP files on an AD network

I can see files by navigating to share visible under Volumes, but every file I try to open report "Enterprise Architect has experienced a network error and will close" the EA bottle then closes.

If I use finder to navigate to the page the same thing happens, However if I copy the file using Finder to my desktop it works fine.

Any advice?
