The Crossover install procedure fails when trying to launch a licensed version of the application during installation.
If installing a licensed version of EA, rather than the demo/trial version, and the license keys are not provided (the case on an initial install), the launch fails and Crossover reports an install failure. If this happens, simply select "Skip this step" and close the installer. Then launch EA; it will ask for a license key. Enter the key(s) and the install will be completed.
Alternatively, install the demo/trial version and once installed, "upgrade" to a licensed version by entering your license keys.
This worked using Crossover 9.2, EA 8.0, and the c4p file for EA 8.0. If c4p can by changed to allow the entry of license keys during installation, perhaps a knowledgeable person can make the necessary changes.
