Endnote X7 Forum

I am running Ubuntu 14.04 64bit
I have Crossover 14 installed and I can install EndNote.
I also have Office 2007 installed, but I can not figure out how to get EndNote to work with Word.
I tried installing EndNote into the same bottle as Office, but that did not help.
Has anyone else managed to get this to work with Word?

I am using EndNote X7 with the latest Crossover version on OpenSuse 13.2. I use it mainly to manage digital journal articles for my doctoral thesis.

As far as I know it is not possible at the moment to integrate EndNote with Office (i.e. use the "cite while you write" tool). I have filed a support ticket with Codeweavers some time ago and was told there's no way getting the EndNote Word add-in to operate properly at the moment.

I am actually amazed how flawlessly the application functions apart from that (even online retrieval of articles and updates work) in Crossover.

That is disappointing. Cite while you write is one of the best features of EndNote.
Good that it does at least work as a reference database. I suppose you can always copy and paste the references, but the Word integration on Windows is a huge convenience. I need to write my M.A. thesis next term.
