Looking for some video files i decided to randomly test eMule 0.44 I know there are linux clients out there but hey, I thought i would give it a try.
I had a bit of problem with the top toolbar. Required me to unfocus the window and refocus it and then it worked. So far it is working great. Have 3 downloads going and everything looks great.
I was unable to get emule 0.45a to load on Crossover 4.1. It causes a page fault when starting up. It also required me to install a library called 'unicows', which appears to consist only of unicows.pdb
There's also a warning message about sockets and running as root, which might be contributing to the problem:
WARNING: Trying to create a socket of type SOCK_RAW, will fail unless running as root

Oops - obviously forgot to log in for my previous post. Small query to Aric, did you install and run emule under the root user? (I'm just wondering about the messages about SOCK_RAW and ICMP)
I've just tried the latest nightly and emule 0.45a seems to fail at the same point while emule is starting.

why not try amule... it's linux based and there's no need to use CO... i would much rather run things natively if possible rather than using an emulator.
