Installs, starts, doesn't run

Hi,

As it's on sale @ Steam at the moment, I decided to try the demo first. It downloads, installs, starts, allows to change options and then stalls before youcan start playing. The load bar doesn't even fill up.
Same with the demo for Napoleon: Total War.

I saw a similar note before, but with a "Bronze medal" I expected it to be resolved.

Anyone a clue how to proceed?
