When elden ring is opened, a white window is displayed, and a wine error is displayed. May I ask if elden ring cannot be installed on my macbook?

It was also happening with me. I was trying to run the game through Steam. You can try following two methods and see if it works for you.

Method 1: Go to Crossover launcher and search for Elden Ring (check out the following screenshot) and after that click on Install (in the same bottle). It will not re-install the game but it takes a few seconds to finish. Then you will be able to play the game through Steam. It seems that the installation from launcher just installed some dependencies/patches/fixes for the game.

Method 2: You can try applying following settings in your crossover bottle.

D3DMetal: Enabled
DXVK: Disabled
ESync: Disabled
MSync: Enabled
High Resolution Mode: Disabled

If you enable DXVK instead of D3DMetal, game wont launch.
Enabling ESync causes low performance.
Enabling MSync improves performance and therfore you get higher FPS in game.
I haven't tried playing with High Resolution Mode so not sure how it affects performance.
