Easy Paint Tool SAI Forum

I loved the Trial vesion of SAI, and thought I'd buy the license before I saw that their license comes as a file which you have to put in a certain folder. I was unable to find a similar folder through Crossover though, so I wondered if it is possible to 'install' the license file on the Crossover version, and if so, where do you put it? I'd hate to spend money on a full version I can't use.

Crossover re-creates a basic windows C-drive structure, on a mac you can find this at
/Users/YOUR_USERNAME/Library/Application Support/CrossOver/Bottles/BOTTLE_NAME/drive_c

where of-course 'YOUR_USERNAME' is the username that you've installed CrossOver on and 'BOTTLE_NAME' is the name you gave the bottle that you installed Sai into.

I'm guessing the license probably needs to be placed where the application data is which would be at:
.../drive_c/Program Files/Easy Paint Tool Sai/

I can't help you if you're using a linux machine, since I don't know where the crossover data is hidden there.

As a convenience, CrossOver has a button to open the folder for the virtual C: drive in the Finder or Linux file manager. It's on the Advanced tab of the Manage Bottles window.

On Linux, the virtual C: drive is in ~/.cxoffice/<bottle name>/drive_c. The ~/.cxoffice directory is hidden, so you may need to configure your file manager to show hidden files to see it.

I recently got a mac and transferred sai from my PC to it. I didn't save the key [silly me] and I can't find it..

this IS a cracked version.. I got the same one again, but I cannot for the life of me find a key in it's folder.

It says it's cracked and should work, but it keeps on coming up as 'Trial'.

I can't figure it out. :| I understand that it's not supposed to work for Mac, but there's gotta be a way. ^^;

@annubrius -- you are using illegal/pirated software - we can not help you with this - it is against the law.
If you legitimately own/bought a license for Easy Paint Tool SAI, please contact the software vendor explaining
your situation, and request a replacement key..

I bought a license for Paint Tool SAI and I didn't know where to install it. After to read your post, I reinstall Paint Tool SAI with your way, and I put the license folder in that place and now the trial version go away. I search a long time before I read you. I just want to say a big thanks you!! Also, I using a Mac.
Just for help more others people, I install my programs in:
/Users/(myname)/Library/Application Support/CrossOver/Bottles/PaintTool SAI/drive_c/Program Files/Paint Tool SAI

After that, you can see all folder of the installation, you just need to put your in the PaintTool SAI folder, simply.
Advice: Quit SAI before to add the license file, and restart it after you put the file.

I have exatly the same problem, I was very happy when I saw this topic because I thouth it was THE SOLUTION!
But actually I have a new problem.
I bought the sofware lisence for paint tool sai and I also have crossover.
I would like to use this : "/Users/YOUR_USERNAME/Library/Application Support/CrossOver/Bottles/BOTTLE_NAME/drive_c" to know where can I put my lisence, but I don't know where to put this "link" to access to the paint tool sai folders.

Please, need help!

Edit: I found the folder "CrossOver" but I have nothing in it, no "Bottles". :/

I purchased a license for SAI but I dont have the folder in drive_c called Paint Tool Sai!!! i have looked everywhere and it is not there, i only get the common files, internet explorer and netscape folders.,, help!!
