OS X problems

Just tried installing e-Sword on my MacBook Pro Core Duo. eSword isn't working too hot. It comes up okay, but when scrolling up and down in the Bible pane, you start getting gibberish (graphically speaking). Also, the dialog box that pops up when you bring the mouse over a Strong's number and should display the definition, is simply blank.

Any ideas?
