i got every thing installed, now here is the problem. when i hit login all i get is FINISHED on my out-put window and a full black screen.
i am running ubuntu 9.1. the news box and the server info both come up on the pylotro. i did a patch and the game updated. still a black screen. so i patched again, and this is what i got:

Hello,

I do have the same problem.
Config :
Mac OS 10.5.8
CXG 9.0.0
Installed to a bottle (win2000) from a complete client downloaded from FilePlanet.com
Patched from a virtual machine (It play well from the VM)
Synch between the VM and the bottle.

I tried with or without a virtual desktop, and with or without Coreaudio (Acceleration = Emulation)
Login is OK ; I get the 2 first splash screen. Second one say : "connection successfull ; patch ok "
Then the black screen and "Finished"

Any idea ? I am not a codewarrior ☹️ This log is chinese 😊

Seeing the same crash here, CXG 9.0 and OS X 10.6.4. It appears to be a bug in Wine, rather than a CrossOver-specific issue - I've seen the same behavior with WineBottler and other Wine/OSX solutions. For the moment, reverting to CXG 8.0 has me back up and running with DDO.

I'm getting this same crash (with the most recent DDO - release 5) OSX 10.6.4 and CXG 9.1b1.
This release of DDO also did not work in CXG 9.0.
Prior to the release 5 update, the DDO client worked fine in CXG 9.0. [LOTRO continues to work in 9.o and 9.1]

Followed the above instructions and disabled "winecoreaudio.drv" - the Turbine client no longer throws a wine page fault to the System Log, however the Client simply "quits" (with "finished" in the PyLotRO "exit" window).

The log file:
<userid>/Library/Application Support/CrossOver Games/Bottles/<bottle>/drive_c/Program Files/Turbine/DDO Unlimited/dbdclient.log
shows the same error as above.

Note: This crash occurs just as the Turbine Client would be displaying the "Character" screen. It is a point in time when background audio begins to be played. To me this implies that disabling the winecoreaudio.drv may not be a satisfactory "solution."

In my case the "crash" terminates the X-window in which the game had been displaying, i.e. does not go to a black screen.

OK, thanks. Please enter a report at the beta center with the information about it being a regression and describe the behavior (i.e. crash log) without disabling winecoreaudio.drv as well as this new behavior with it disabled.
