If you have DDO running under 8.1.4, I would strongly recommend you NOT upgrade.
I used to run both LOTRO and DDO under CXG. However, when Turbine came out with Update 5 in June of 2010, I was running 9.2 (I think, maybe 9.0) and DDO stopped working.
For me it gets as far as about to load the Character loading screen and the Turbine client crashes.
For me, LOTRO runs fine under 10.0. I have had zero problems with it. Others, however, have random crashes.
As for the upgrade technique, It is quite simple.
1- Rename /Applications/CrossOver Games.app to something like CrossOver Games8.app
2- drag the 10.0 Crossover app into the /Applications folder.
3- Launch CXG from Applications, register it and let it update the bottles. That should only take 3 or 4 minutes.
4- rebuild the program menu from the CXG - "Configure/Clear and rebuild programs menu"
5- Launch DDO from the CXG programs pulldown.
6- with luck everything will continue to work for you.
If not, you can "fall back" to CXG 8.1.4 by simply using the renamed CXG app from step 1.
When you launch the old version it will again claim to "upgrade" your bottles. That's fine. (bad choice of verbiage)
Thanks, I already had it setup this way under CXG 8.1.4. What I was just wondering is if you have to reinstall a game that is already in a different version of CXG???
