I have been playing around with this, trying to get the Arc launcher to run and not instantly quit, and when trying to install a clean bottle, I saw this rating. Apparently, someone gave it five stars just three days ago (as I write this) under version 24.0.5. If this person is on this forum, can you please tell us what you did to make this "run great". Thanks!

EDIT: I see now. I use Steam. You are using ARC Launcher. I also cannot get that to work. Use Steam man!

1. Set Bottle Compatibility to Windows 10 first. Windows 11 does work but less stable for me.
2. Run DXVK and ESync as this is what "I" have found to be the most stable. Under this I can run at max Graphics unless im in Mount Hotenow or other bright areas and then I set to medium GPU and CPU on game sliders. D3DMetal and MSync "for me" crashes and is less stable and graphically glitchy.
3. I have an M1 MacStudio 10/24/32/512
4. "MOST STABLE" build "for me" is 23.7.1 AND 13 Sep 2024 Preview.

It took a few crashes to desktop to get the thing installed. Maybe that's not what you are experiencing? If so, just keep at it until it installs and you get to login window. I had to keep focus on install or else it crashed.

I have the game/launcher running for over 24 hours at at time. Logging in and out and no issues. Feel free to tag me if no joy and I will see what else I can think of that I did to make it work.

Revisited 7OCT2024 and no changes. Still Plays Great AND on Windows 11. This time DXVK/ESync

This was posted in the Neverwinter Discord yesterday

A workaround for those who cannot launch the game and who use the Arc client;

Open up the following path which is the default install location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Neverwinter_en\ and then run Neverwinter.exe from within that folder. It should bypass the launcher and allow you to run the game.

Alternatively you can search for Neverwinter when you open up your start menu (hit the Windows key) and right-click the icon and select Open file location and look for Neverwinter.exe and run that.
