Need help getting it to work!

Hello,

I would very much be interested in some information of those who voted it "Gold" on how to get it to work.

Since there is no crosstie (and I only found a post in the customer support forum which does not work) I would be grateful to know with packages to install to get the game to run.

These are the things I have installed in the bottle (based on the posting in the customer support forum):

And here's where the Launcher crashes:

Any ideas / info / help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Dennis

Does it work better if you turn off the Mac driver? This works well for me on the Mac and on Linux systems. I just created a tie file for it.

I just used the tie file for Star Trek online, as I didn't realise you'd made one for this at the time :) The stuff that one installs works fine for this game too.
I was up and running within 5 mins of install. Only played for 10 mins so far and it's working nice.
Will do more extensive testing over the next few days.

This is testing with the current Crossover release under OS X 10.8.3 on a mid 2011 21.5 iMac

Will try and get my Linux box working again and try on that too :)

Heya, you said you created a tie file for neverwinter from perfect world? Do you mean for others to download? If so, where might I find it?

It's here: http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=11376

Or directly: http://www.codeweavers.com/bin/c4p/11376

I've been flipping it off and on all morning as I make adjustments, apologies. It may not have been present when you tried it.

It seems to be sitting at 0% for the last hour.

Try one of the other download options.
http://nw.perfectworld.com/download

I downloaded the torrent from perfect world site and installed as 'other application'

It patches and says 'ready' but then I have to click the black void on the bottom right of the launcher.
I assume there is a button there that would normally say 'go' or 'play' or 'start' of some sorts.

when I click the black void, it launches the game and plays well.
I had a problem where when I logged into the game it had a problem loading the servers and would tell me it could not connect to the servers.
I restarted the bottle a third time and it connected and I made a character and logged in for a minute and worked well.

I will test more after work.

I had the same problem, then I installed Internet Explorer 7, and now the "Play / Cancel" buttons is displayed.

installing internet explorer 7 worked

thanks

I had issues logging in to my account once the game was installed but installing IE 7 solved that issue.
thanks for everyone that suggested it.
Also maybe the crossover tie needs to be updated to include internet explorer 7?

Hi
game works PERFECTLY on my IMac with Mountain Lion + Crossover 12 + CrossTie + IE7
GREAT 😇

GOLD for me.

Works flawless for me on full settings except for this pink floor that pops up when I'm fighting someone, doesn't show up when out of combat.

Any fixes?

Chase, what's your system setup?

I have the same issue as Chase. My system is:

MacBook Air
Processor 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 512 MB
Software OS X 10.8.3 (12D78)

The published crosstie fails several of the font installations - but it appears as installed afterwards, and it fails on the install of neverwinter itself.

Will this be updated?

System: Ubuntu Linux 13.04.

I see the problem.

They updated the game. It's live, not beta anymore so the download location changed.

I fixed it in the Tie.

This, at least, should be good to go.

Hello I hope you may be able to help me,

I have a MacBookPro5,5 with an NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics card, on osx 10.6.8 - will i be able to get Neverwinter to run?

It seemed to download and install ok from the crosstie. The first time I logged in and clicked Play it launched a full screen window with a graphics test but my computer froze and i had to shut down. Since then the launcher only partly loads (it's mostly white) and doesn't let me log in. I can't see or click the play button. IE 7 is definitely in the bottle.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance :o)

You should be able to. May be a bit slow though, but it will run stably.

Not sure on that one, but I have a list as following for bottle contents:
Crossover HTML Engine
DnD Neverwinter
IE7
MS DX Runtime - Modern
MSHTML 7
MSVC++ 2005
MSXMLLite
MSXML 3.0
msls31
Wine Mono

I would bet that the wine mono is old and not needed. But the MSXML stuff and msls may have to do with this, and ensure that they are there. If worse comes to worse, do a disk check from OSX or Diskwarrior or SpinRite, and lastly reinstall.

THanks for that. I did a clean install of Mountain Lion (had tried upgrading from Snow Leopard in the past and it borked badly) and now NW runs fine. Appreciate the tips
