Well, I do have a question: Where do I find this "registry" file that is mentioned under Tips&Tricks?

another thing that bothers me with dungeon keeper 2 is this: when I start the game the screen splits in maybe 4 equaly thick pieces. the upper part shows the gamemenu squeezed into it and the other 3 parts show annoying static. whats that all about?

You can find more information on the registry here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Registry. In Wine/Crossover, as in Windows, you edit the registry by using the regedit tool.

As for the screen problem, it doesn't happen to me so I can't really comment on it.

hm, thanks, I didn´t know that before. been using macs all my life...
well, thing is, when i open the regedit.exe thingy there are a lot of HKEY things that contain a lot of different information.
tragicly I can´t seem to find the HKCU/Software/Wine/DirectInput. I guess with HKCU you mean HKEY_Current_User. But well, when I follow the path, I find Software/Wine, but no DirectInput. There is Direct3D, Drivers, DllOverrides, Debug.... but no DirectInput.
Do you know why that is or can you give me clearer directions?

You may need first create the actual DirectInput key - highlight HKCU/Software/Wine
=>rightmouseclick->new key->give it the name DirectInput

Highlight the DirectInput key=>rightmouseclick->new string value->name it MouseWarpOverride

Highlight the MouseWarpOverride string=>rightmouseclick->modify->enter "disable" (without the
quotes) as the Value data:

Yes thanks for the info - I was looking for the regkey not knowing I had to create it. On another note, why does the game only work in 800x600 ? - if I select another resolution the screen brakes up in to lines ?

It didn't work for me. (I'm on a mac)
I've downloaded open regedit and I followed your instructions but my mouse still wont work. Is there anything else I can do?
